DescriptionFlickr - Israel Defense Forces - Nachal Brigade On Historical Trek (1).jpg
June 1st, 2011.
The Nachal Brigade during a night-time trek consisting of 400 soldiers, undertaken between Tuesday and Wednesday, May 31st to June 1st. The trek's purpose was to lead the soldiers through historical sites in Israel and teach them about the Harel Brigade, one of the first brigades in the IDF (now in reserve) which had been famously commanded by Yitzhak Rabin.
The soldiers began their journey at the Harel Brigade Monument at Mt. Hadar and concluded it at Mt. Herzl, pausing throughout at sites such as military cemeteries in order to pay their respects to the fallen soldiers.
