Azad Samaj Party (abbr. ASP), or Azad Samaj Party (Kanshiram) is an Indian political party formed and is currently presided by Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan,[4] based on the ideology of Ambedkarism.[5] The party was formed on 15 March 2020, on 86th birth anniversary of Kanshi Ram.[6] The party is described as the political successor of Bhim Army and is currently unrecognised by the Election Commission of India. The party has been in alliance with Progressive Democratic Alliance for 2020 Bihar Legislative Assembly election.[7] The party has been described and recognised for the welfare of Dalits, Adivasis and other socially backward groups, along with religious minorities.[8]
