Kumara Vijayam is a 1976 Indian Tamil-language comedy-drama film directed by A. Jagannathan and produced by E. K. Thiyagarajan, Sasikumar and V. P. Chandrasekharan. The film stars Kamal Haasan, Jayachitra and Malayalam actor M. G. Soman. The film had a musical score by G. Devarajan.[1] The film was adapted from Tamil stage play Perumal Satchi by Komal Swaminathan. The stage play was previously filmed in Malayalam as Paalazhi Madhanam (1975).

The film was adapted from Tamil stage play Perumal Satchi by Komal Swaminathan.[4] The stage play was previously filmed in Malayalam as Paalazhi Madhanam (1975) with same production company and crews. The stage play later filmed in Telugu as Allari Pillalu (1979).

Soundtrack[edit]

The film's soundtrack was composed by G. Devarajan; the lyrics were written by Kannadasan, Pulamaipithan and Poovai Senguttavan.
