Panakkad Sayed Hyderali Shihab Thangal is the Kerala State President of Indian Union Muslim League[1] and President of the Darul Huda Islamic Academy. He is also the Vice President of the EK faction of Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama, one of the Sunni Muslim organisations in Kerala.[2]

Hyderali Shihab Thangal is a member of the Pukkoya family of Panakkad, Malappuram. He is the third son of P. M. S. A. Pookkoya Thangal (d. 1975) and the younger brother of Sayed Mohammedali Shihab Thangal and Sayed Umerali Shihab Thangal.[3] He was elected as the successor to Panakkad Sayeed Mohammedali Shihab Thangal as the Kerala State President of Indian Union Muslim League in 2009.[4]
