Tej Pratap Singh Yadav (born 21 October 1987) is an Indian politician who was a Member of Parliament in the Indian Lok Sabha, where he has represented the Mainpuri constituency of Uttar Pradesh from 2014 to 2019 as a member of the Samajwadi Party.

Tej Pratap Singh, who has an MBA from Leeds University in the UK, and studied in Schools like Colonel Brown Cambridge School, Dehradun and Delhi Public School, Noida is related to two powerful politician families: Yadavs of Uttar Pradesh his grandfather, Ratan Singh Yadav, who was the elder brother of Mulayam Singh Yadav[1] and Yadavs of Bihar through his marriage to Raj Laxmi, the youngest daughter of Lalu Prasad Yadav.[2] The marriage took place in 2015 and in 2016, the couple had a child.[3]

Singh was elected as a Samajwadi Party member to the Lok Sabha in 2014 at the age of 26. He had successfully contested a by-election for the Mainpuri constituency of Uttar Pradesh, a seat previously held by his grand-uncle, Mulayam Singh Yadav.[1]
