Thaiyur is a southern neighbourhood of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is a village located in Chengalpattu district, about 31.46 kilometres (19.55 mi) from Chennai.[1] This is primarily an agricultural village.[2] It is also famous for the salt production.[3] An engineering college Shree Motilal Kanhaiyalal Fomra Institute of Technology is situated in this village.[1]
